Web-site promotion to search engines and directories
Submission to search engines and directories can be done either by hand or by automated programs. Most experts agree that the best way to promote a site is to submit by hand. Depending of the number of sites submitted to, this can take a very long time.
Automated methods are very quick, but can be prone to error and if detected (Usually they are), may be deleted or discounted. It has been determined that some systems do not know or do not care if a site is submitted by such programs. It is for this reason that we use both methods.
Many search engines and most directories receive our careful hand submissions. Using both methods allows us to keep costs down and still be effective in our promotion of your web site.
Link development
If you want much more relevant traffic and a higher ranking in the major search engines, then link development should be incorporated into your marketing strategy.
Google ranks your site and your sites pages based on ‘on-page’ and ‘off-page’ criteria.
The on-page criterion is a measure of the significance of the page content to the search request. The off-page decisive factor, called PageRank by Google, is often called link popularity and is a measure of the importance of your web site to the rest of the internet.
This importance is rated based on the authority and topicality of the links pointing to the page in question. There are numerous other factors that power the importance of an incoming link but all of these factors combined produce a method of ranking and positioning your company’s site. Extremely competitive phrases require higher levels of link popularity to achieve first page rankings/positions.
